Gerard Sweeney

Mr. Sweeney is the Portfolio Manager for Aqua Terra Asset Management LLC. Prior to becoming the portfolio manager of AquaTerra, Mr. Sweeney was the senior research analyst for Aqua Terra overseeing the Praetor Global Water Fund, a Euro denominated fund based in Luxembourg, and the Kinetics Global Water Infrastructure Fund.
Preceding his position at Aqua Terra, Mr. Sweeney was Vice President at Boenning & Scattergood. At Boenning, Mr. Sweeney was hired to help build Boenning's institutional research and sales operation and equity syndicate group which focused on water related companies. From 2000 through 2004 he was a member of Janney Montgomery Scott’s Syndicate Desk specializing in water related equity financings. Prior to Janney Montgomery Scott he was a trader with International Raw Materials which brokered transactions in agricultural chemicals domestically and internationally.
Mr. Sweeney is a 2007 graduate of Temple University’s Fox School of Business with an M.B.A in Finance and a 1996 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. While at Penn Mr. Sweeney was co-captain of the 1996 men’s heavyweight rowing team (2nd place national championship). After graduation Mr. Sweeney trained with the U.S. National Rowing Team and won several U.S. national rowing championships.
